New GeBE thermal printer with scanner now in mobile.cashless PIN ticket vending machines from Almex.

GeBE Elektronik und Feinwerktechnik from Germering, Germany, now presents the modular ticket printer GeBE-COMPACT Plus Scan, a compact thermal printer module with integrated 1D barcode scanner. The thermal printer manufacturer is thus responding to the demand in public transport ticket machine applications. In most cases, tickets are tracked by scanning barcodes on the back of the ticket.
For the IT, hardware and software specialist for public transport, Almex, Germany, the printers in the latest systems must be equipped with scanners, be service-friendly, robust and reliable, and thus ensure maximum availability in day-to-day business. For this reason, the technology company from Lower-Saxony now relies on the operationally reliable GeBE-COMPACT Plus Scan in the mobile ticket vending machines mobile.cashless PIN for ticket printing in buses, trains, ferries or cable cars. With this printer the ticket format can be freely configured between 63 and 86 mm width – depending on requirements.
In this way, the thermal printer from Bavaria additionally supports the application flexibility of the mobile ticket vending machines. The printer module is then supplemented quite individually, in this case with a robust front that provides excellent protection against rough mechanical impact from outside, with a mounting bracket and a paper guide. The printer module is so space-saving that there is room for a second one inside the machine if required.

The modular GeBE-COMPACT Plus thermal printer system can be adapted anywhere very easily and cost-efficiently. This is because the basic printer module is simply supplemented with the components specified by the application. If the latest printer-scanner module is additionally equipped with a mounting bracket and paper feed, as in the mobile.cashless PIN ticket machines from Almex, the ticket printer is held absolutely securely and can be removed quickly and easily for service purposes in just a few simple steps.
In addition, proper transport of the ticket paper into the printing mechanism is guaranteed in a stable manner. This increases processing reliability, even in bumpy driving conditions. If there is still room inside the machine, two printer modules and paper rolls can also be installed. This significantly increases availability and reduces service costs.
