Linerless – Labels without carrier paper
Linerless means the label comes without backing material. What sounds like a detail changes three things in continuous operation – roll length, amount of waste and maintenance effort.
With backing paper
- Every label comes with backing material that is left behind as waste after dispensing.
- The liner takes up space on the roll – so fewer labels fit on it.
- Changing rolls and disposing of the backing tape are part of the daily routine.
Linerless
- No backing paper: significantly more label material fits on one roll.
- No liner waste and no disposal – fewer handling steps per shift.
- The non-stick roller, non-stick cutter and presenter keep the paper path free of adhesive.
In GeBE's linerless models, the cutter lasts two million cuts without the blade having to be replaced.

Professionalizing the structures: GeBE Elektronik und Feinwerktechnik GmbH is founded. Production is expanded massively – the step to an industrial company.
1994
Patented technology
Technological breakthrough in double-sided printing: The Loop Presenter and the paper-turning unit are patented. This is proof of the high level of engineering expertise in-house.
2010
Generational change & mobile connectivity
Sandra Pabst takes over management. At the same time, GeBE revolutionizes the market with the first mobile Bluetooth® printer for iOS and embraces mobile connectivity early on.
2019
Innovation: linerless technology
Sustainability and efficiency: GeBE further develops its linerless technology and patents the Linerless Presenter – the answer to modern requirements in receipt printing.
