Valuable materials – nuisance materials – waste offenders:
GeBE thermal printers in the detection system of Maier & Fabris
Germering, July 21th, 2020.
GeBE Elektronik und Feinwerktechnik now supplies customized thermal printers for the DS 2010 detection systems of Maier & Fabris GmbH from Tübingen, Germany. These systems are built in waste collection vehicles and register contaminants in organic waste and paper waste as well as intolerable materials in residual waste even before the containers are emptied. Both, the computer system together with the printer are installed in the driver’s cabin.
The special printer solution for this application was developed in close cooperation between the two companies on the basis of the standard printer GeBE-MULDE Maxi. This thermal printer for 114 mm wide paper was fixed here in a very stable housing to be protected against vibrations and bumps caused by uneven roads and thus to produce perfect printouts – even while driving.
At the end black on white: garbage sinners or dutiful waste separators?
During a tour, the identified data appear permanently on a display and are recorded. In the end, the printer prints these data as a subtotal or total for the according waste disposal area. The number of emptied containers and the detection results can be checked as well as faults that occurred during the tour. Thus also garbage sinners and particularly duty-conscious households that correctly separate their garbage can be found out. All results are available for evaluation and archiving.
GeBE realizes printer adaptations in hardware and software from small quantities on. The german company has been in business for over 50 years and has been a recognized industry partner for data input and output solutions for 35 years.
