Germering, July 1, 2019

The thermal printer manufacturer GeBE Elektronik und Feinwerktechnik GmbH is expanding its premises in Germering and has relocated a department. The increasingly growing order backlog required more space for the production of GeBE devices. Therefore, the family-run company moved its mechanical production in June to new premises. A total area of 230 square meters was leased in Industriestraße in Germering, not far from the headquarters in Beethovenstraße, where the 12 production employees will now carry out the assembly of GeBE devices under ideal conditions. „As part of the business development, we were fortunately able to find suitable premises on site in time to optimize order processing and to provide our employees with optimal conditions. To prevent expected space problems in a timely manner, we decided relatively quickly to outsource a department,“ said Managing Director Sandra Pabst. „And if it is feasible, we will continue to see our base in Germering in the future as well – not least in the interest of our long-standing employees – with further growth,“ adds Pabst.

Two GeBE events in Germering

The thermal printers of GeBE Elektronik und Feinwerktechnik GmbH are developed, manufactured and mainly distributed to OEM customers in Europe at the Germering site. GeBE relies on „Quality Made in Germany“ and always manufactures in-house whenever possible. This family-owned company in Germering employs a total of around 50 employees and has been a partner of the industry for data input and data output devices since 1985 as a GmbH.

As early as 1989, the keyboard division, initially built in parallel to the printers, was spun off as a separate company, GeBE Computer & Peripherie GmbH, and has since been managed by Sandra Pabst’s husband Paul Pabst – also in Germering. The product range there includes not only specially manufactured keyboards for industrial and medical applications, but also standard keyboards for, for example, offices. The distribution is handled via www.tastaturen.com. Although the development and production of industrial specialty keyboards remained under the umbrella of GeBE Elektronik und Feinwerktechnik, they have since positioned themselves as a specialist for thermal printers on the market.
