Ticket printing is a matter of certainty:
3’’ Outdoor Printer from GeBE now with protective Presenter Unit
Germering, February 05, 2018.
GeBE Elektronik und Feinwerktechnik GmbH in Germering, Germany, now introduces its new Outdoor Thermal Printer GeBE-COMPACT Plus as a 3‘‘ printer with Presenter. This printer is often built in automated systems, even outdoors. GeBE now supplies the proven GeBE-COMPACT Plus printer in a new design, with the pre-assembled presentation unit, in order to counteract damaging handling even more effectively. Because until the final hand over of the ticket, the Presenter unit keeps the printout back and thus does not allow the user to pull it too early. If the printout is not taken within a specified time, the sensitive data remains protected by the return transport to the inside of the case using the Paper Reject function.
As comfortable as useful
Usually outdoor printers have to withstand a lot of different influences and they are always at risk to get damaged by vandalism. Therefore, GeBE has focused on the highest possible working reliability when developing this printer. The new 3’’’ version of the proven printer module now got a Presenter unit which is as comfortable as useful for controlled ticket issue. The result is a new Outdoor printer with particularly high resistance to negative environmental influences such as extremely high or low temperatures or changing humidity as well as the reliable assurance of the entire printing process and of the ticket issue itself. Thus incorrect handling by users or deliberate action by vandals is countered: The Presenter forms a paper loop inside the component until the presentation of the completely printed and cut ticket is activated. This prevents damage to the internal mechanics due to premature or too tight pulling of the printout. The presentation itself happens at an extremely high speed that barely allows simultaneous grabbing. In addition, the Presenter reliably monitors not pulled printouts with a paper retract function. These are transported back into the housing interior after a specified time. Customer-specific adaptations are realised by GeBE from smaller series on.
Processing with highest precision, even outdoors
The highly complex print management of the GeBE-COMPACT Plus Outdoor Thermal Printer monitors the processing of each print job with highest precision, i.a. using Black Mark Control. The size of the extremely compact printing unit for papers from 80 to 82 mm width and a thickness of 70 to 100µm is only 128 x 93 x 100mm. Therefore it is compact enough to be used in kiosk systems or automated machines. „There are currently more than 20,000 of the GeBE-COMPACT Plus Outdoor Thermal Printers in the field. According to experience, they are extremely stable and can nearly not be influenced by extreme conditions“, GeBE Sales Manager Michael Buchmüller explains. To obtain ideal printing results the thermal paper is selected according to the conditions indoors or outdoors. Then this printer does its job excellently within an extremely wide temperature range of -20°C to +70°C.
The thermal printer manufacturer GeBE with its great experience from customer-specific adaptations is a reliable partner with regard to special requirements for printers as well as for thermal papers. The company has been in business for over 50 years and has been acting as a recognised partner of the industry for data input and output solutions for more than 30 years.
