New standard for outdoor thermal printers GeBE-COMPACT Plus:
OEM friendly through and through
Germering, October 19th, 2017.
The GeBE Elektronik und Feinwerktechnik GmbH, Germany, now presents its revised outdoor thermal printer series GeBE-COMPACT Plus. During the revision GeBE focuses on an easy connection of the printer components to existing systems. So the OEM friendly, modular character of the printer series remained. Using a more powerful C32 controller board, the various versions of the printer have been merged and reduced to only a few standards. Every device now has both a USB and a RS232 port. This choice of interfaces means, on the one hand, less effort during installation and, on the other hand, more scope when connecting the printers to OEM systems. Various print widths and paper roll sizes can still be selected. Depending on the installation situation, the position of the paper roll is determined by the customer himself. GeBE offers various paper roll holders as an option.
Adapted to the market
Within the new GeBE-COMPACT Plus product series, the printer for 82.5 mm paper width with a presenter unit has now become the standard device. This corresponds to the needs of the market, where safety features are becoming increasingly important. The printing process and the paper output run separately from one another. So the printer mechanism is additionally protected from external effects such as pulling the paper before the print job has been finished. Compared to a ticket drop compartment, a presenter unit is also more practical and cost-effective.
For applications that are distributed worldwide, OEM customers can now integrate UTF fonts on all thermal printers of this series by themselves so they can use more than 37000 characters of all languages for their printouts. GeBE offers customer-specific adaptations also for smaller series.
GeBE has been in business for more than 50 years and is a recognised partner of industry for data input and output solutions for over 30 years now.
