GeBE at AWA International Linerless Label Conference & Exhibition.

This year, Germering-based thermal printer manufacturer GeBE Elektronik und Feinwerktechnik took part in the AWA International Linerless Label Conference & Exhibition in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, for the first time, as a sponsor, exhibitor and industry expert.
This conference series is dedicated to the latest advances and challenges in linerless labeling. In addition to the focus on „Material, Converting & Equipment“, this time it was also about the continuously growing global interest in linerless technology and its acceptance. The significantly greater environmental compatibility of label papers that do not require conventional backing paper waste is obvious. Therefore the carbon footprint of the linerless paper industry was one of the fundamental topics, as were the latest aspects of machine labeling.
GeBE linerless products presented to experts from all over the world
GeBE has been working intensively on the challenges of printing on self-adhesive thermal paper without liner for a good six years. In addition to various linerless thermal printers and cutters, the company now also offers a patented Linerless-Presenter-Unit for adhesion-free label output. GeBE Product Manager Petra Faßbender and Head of Sales Andreas Krüger presented the range of GeBE Linerless Technology products to experts from all over the world on site.
As an expert in linerless thermal printing, Klaus Baldig, Head of R&D at GeBE, besides contributed to one of the discussion panels.
The June 20-21, 2024 conference continued the series of AWA seminars for the linerless industry from previous years – a testament to the considerable interest in the technology and significant growth of linerless labeling in various application areas, including logistics and transportation, warehousing, retail and fast food packaging.
