GeBE Elektronik und Feinwerktechnik GmbH in Germering, Germany, has expanded its product range to include special cutters for OEM. These are able to cut paper, foil or shrink tubing – up to cardboard thickness. And rotary cutters are also available. GeBE cutters are always customized to meet client specifications.
A distinctive feature of the new cutter range is the specially treated Linerless Cutter. Direct contact with the adhesive spread of self-adhesive papers without protective liner, so-called linerless papers, presents a challenge for the paper guide as well as for the cutter blades. Yet in practice these papers offer advantages, which accounts for the increasing demand. A rewinder for the carrier material is not needed and disposal of the carrier as special waste is thus not necessary.
The Linerless Cutter from GeBE is prepared in such a way that, despite contact with the adhesive, a smooth paper guide is ensured. And the cutting edges remain largely free of adhesive residue due to a special substance integrated into the base material.
Depending on the paper specification, the manufacturer guarantees some 500,000 to 1,500,000 cuts for OEM cutter (for linerless cutter on request). GeBE adapts every OEM cutter according to the customer’s requirements and has more than 30 years of experience with individual OEM adjustments.
